A press release went out from Bruce Shaw this week requesting volunteers to serve on an oversight committee to monitor spending of $31.46 million in bond funds, from the passage of the Februay measure to pay for new schools in Menifee Union School District.
The deadline to send in a letter of interest along with a resume is June 1. Mail a letter of interest and resume to Bruce Shaw, Menifee Union School District, 30205 Menifee Road, Menifee, CA 92584.
According to the press release, Bruce Shaw believes the seven-member committee should include a mix of people active in a business organization, a senior citizens group, a taxpayers' organization, a MUSD parent, PTA member or active in a school site council group.
No district employee, vendor or contractor is eligible. Committee members will serve a minimum of two years, attend quarterly meetings and provide an annual financial report to the school board.
